Coating System
System Description
FerroGuard IC is a plural-component, 100%-solids aromatic polyurea applied as a single-coat membrane system. The two components mix at the gun and react on the substrate within seconds, building a monolithic elastomeric film with no seams, no inter-coat adhesion risk, and no solvent entrapment. On blasted steel it develops pull-off adhesion above 500 PSI; on power-tool-cleaned maintenance surfaces it bridges tightly-adhered oxide and isolates it from further moisture and oxygen.
The membrane is specified by exposure: 40 mils nominal for interior conditioned structures, 60 mils for wash-down and exterior service, 80 mils where impact and abrasion govern. All builds are achieved in one mobilization.
